1. Do you make quilts for your personal pleasure?

  2. Do you exhibit or send your quilts around the country?

  3. Do you have family heirloom quilts?

  4. Have you bought a "few" antique or contemporary quilts?

  5. Do you want to sell or donate a quilt?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, you may want to have your quilts appraised. The cost of an appraisal is probably more reasonable than you think.

If your quilt, one you have spent hundreds of hours creating or a treasured heirloom, is destroyed, stolen or lost, most homeowner's insurance policies and shipping companies will only reimburse you the cost of materials! Your homeowner's insurance will probably not provide enough coverage to replace even a small collection of antique or contemporary quilts.

A written appraisal by a qualified appraiser will substantiate your claim for full replacement value should something happen to your quilt.
